• The genesis of the K.V. Ukhrul

1. 1. Kendriya Vidyalaya Ukhrul was opened on 16th April, 2007 under the Civil Sector.
   2. This vidyalaya was inaugurated by then VMC Chairman – Mr. Pankaj Kumar Pal, DC Ukhrul.
   3. This vidyalaya was started under the guidance of Mrs. L. Radharani, Principal, K. V. No.1 Imphal.

• Important milestones of growth

1. 1. Kendriya Vidyalaya Ukhrul initially started from CLASS – I TO V.
   2. In the session 2017-18, Kendriya Vidyalaya Ukhrul was upgraded to CLASS-XII (Science stream).

• Facilities available including games and sports facilities

1. 1. Sport’s facilities include a small ground.
   2. Indoor games such as Table Tennis, Chess and Carom Board are available for rainy days.
   3. Yoga is taught to the students with an aim to develop a higher level of concentration and flexibility.
   4. The vidyalaya emphasizes on co-curricular activities and holistic development of students.

• We have following infrastructure

1. 1. Well-furnished classrooms.
   2. A computer lab with 24 computer.
   3. A library having about more than 1200 different kinds of books.
   4. A music room with various musical instruments.
   5. An art room.
   6. A science lab.
   7. 11.33 acre land is provided by the state government to the school for the construction permanent building which is already started.
